Styles In Perfection

Posted By: admin on January 2, 2012 in Art & Fashion, Fashion & Style, Fashion Trends - Comments: Comments Off on Styles In Perfection

Strapless Bra:

Wearing fashionable halters or spaghettis is in vogue, but it’s so tacky to leave the straps showing! Make sure you own at least 3 strapless bras, preferably black, ivory and skin color. Some bras come with detachable straps and serve as dual-purpose underwear. Just like straps don’t look good when seen, neither do panty seams. Get hold of a pair of G-strings to go with those slim fit trousers.

Jeans in blue:

An all-time favorite essential! From faded blue to dark indigo, well-fitted jeans never go out of fashion. Threw anything on top of them, a T-shirt or tank top-jeans that seems to be great. You’ll never have a reason to throw them out… unless you put on too much weight!

Top Perfume:

What do Prince William, Barack Obama and Tom Hanks have in common? Annick Goutal’s fragrance – Eaud’Hadrien. A crisp, concentrated Eaude Perfume suitable for all seasons, it is a delicious blend of citrus, lemon, citron, cypress and grapefruit, which will evoke images of the bright Cote d’Azure sun.

Dressy watch:

An elegant, classy watch is one of your basic style stealers. A plain round dial with a white background and Roman numerals always looks elegant. Slim, sleek metal straps are very much in vogue nowadays. Check out the range at swatch for watches that are both versatile and trendy, and affordable for all.

Stepping out:

Ranging from the tightest pull on metallic stiletto, to the ubiquitous black/beige low pump, women’s shoes are infinitely varied today. On the one hand comfort is the key. But on the other, styles have veered back to feminine shoes adorned with shimmering flowers and sequins. One rule still rules, for feet to look fairer and prettier there’s no alternative to a good pedicure!

 Delightful jewelry:

All fashion divas need a colorful piece of jewelry to make a statement. Only one rule applies this season: the design should dazzle the eye, the color should be bright, and the louder and bolder the better! Exquisite knuckle duster silver rings with semiprecious colored gemstones will add just the ring pizzazz to your look!

Styles in bags:

Classic, simple and no-nonsense, a leather bag is an absolute requirement in a fashionable woman’s wardrobe.
Avoid decorations so that the bag can be teamed with both casuals and formals, and choose a size which will accommodate all the basics, from your compact to cell phone. For evenings though, dress it up.

When Buying A Sunglasses

When Buying A Sunglass

A lot of people think about sunglass as a fashion tool and buy a pair without less time over the aspects and necessity and importance of it. It has not a joke to buy a sunglass like a trouser or T-shirt because it is directly concern with the health of your eyes.

The main purpose of buying a sunglass is to protect and safe your eyes from ultra violet rays of the sun. These rays are harmful for your eyes. The sun emits these unseeing rays which penetrates in our body and are harm for the health. These rays has further three categories A, B & C according to their waves length and intensity continuous exposure to these rays causes disease like cataract and it lead to cancer also.

After so many experiments the manufacturer developed such sunglasses that are protecting from UVA & UVB rays. It is better to ask to your doctor and take his advice or see any site of internet.

When making a selection on a shop, keep in mind that you have to select such a sunglass that comes in close to your face and makes a nice contact. The looseness will allow the sun rays to come from all the side. Wraparound will be a nice selection. Take care of the ear pieces, that should be in contact with your temples perfectly, and there should not be ant gap in between.

The glasses you are buying should adjust on your face properly, because you are not comforting with glasses, but for looking smart and fashionable. It is necessary to know the shape of your face very well. Awareness from your face will tell you exactly that what should be your style. Stand in front of a mirror & see your face in it. By observation you will come to know whether it is in oval shape or like an egg. It is looking simply round or it is in square shape. Your face may be in heart shape. If you are unable to make any judgment, take a photograph of your face and project the outline with a marker.

If your face in oval shape then you are lucky and may choose any sort of glasses. Bold and large glasses of funky frames should be preferable. It will give a fantastic and admirable look to your face.

If your face is round, then select angular glasses. These will enhance your check bones. Remember this rule that big glasses are appropriate for big face and small glasses for smaller one. Keeping in view all the advices you will be able to select nice and perfect glasses. In this regard consider your budget, so that you may meet your demand.

If your forehead is broad in shape and your chin is narrow, it means that you face is heart-shape. Surely it will be small in size. Be careful when buying a pair of glasses for you that it should not oversized, otherwise your face will look odd and clumsy.

The square shape comes out by square jaws and broad forehead. In this situation you ask for a round shape glasses.

Why Not Delight With Denim

Posted By: admin on August 1, 2011 in Fashion & Style - Comments: Comments Off on Why Not Delight With Denim

Why Not Delight With DenimWhen you’re hanging out with the girls at the local diner, or even at fancy watering holes, anything denim-jeans shirt, jackets, even dresses-looks and feel great. Just slipping into a favorite pair of well worn jeans can put in a relaxed and carefree mood.

Denim’s a versatile fabric that can look both unpretentious and stylish. You say, “I am relaxed and confident, and I don’t need to overdress to complete in the fashion arena.”

At the same time, however, the reverse can be true. The bottom line is that we still need and seek individual recognition. In old days the hippies decorated their jeans with embroidery and patches as a mean of self-expression and now in no matter how much we try to deny it, denim has become a status symbol.

But when you choose denim as the basis of an outfit, you’re in charge of the look you create. You can dress to impress, or not-it all depends on the image you’re after, and where you’re going to be seen. Here, we’ve teamed classic and cropped jeans with basic T’s for relaxed combinations. A corduroy-collared denim jacket’s another fashion staple that projects a cool and daring look.

Best of all, denim isn’t just for weekends anymore. Some offices have an unofficial “Friday phenomenon” where just about everyone shows up in some form of denim, to get a psychological jump-start on the weekend. For a sophisticated air, try a monochromatic ensemble like the all-white outfit on p. 38 of slim jeans and a ribbed tank, topped off with a roomy cotton cardigan. Or go for the opposite end of the color spectrum, pairing a black T with sleek black jeans a favorite over-sized jacket, and a strand of pearls.

Even the most dressed-up of offices would give you the nod of approval if you showed up for work in a denim dress. What distinguishes each designer’s offering from the others are the details extra fancy embroidery, little denim bow trims, a button fly instead of a zipper. But creativity isn’t limited to designers. Now, companies are getting into the act.

The “dirty dancing” jean is fun for aspiring. They’re also using several unique washes, from acid wash. A new series includes a classic five-pocket slim jean that’s cut to fit a woman’s figure. The back pockets are cut smaller so the rear end appears smaller-a great visual trick than slim derriere.

A new type of denim is short that’s cut full at the rear, in a circular, convex shape, including the back pockets, so you can slide your hands into them in.

Some jeans cut at the waist, and every pair has the famous which is meant for you to slip your belt prong through in order to draw in the waist for a comfortable snug fit

With an almost unlimited selection of cuts to choose from, every one can find jeans that feel great and flatter them, too.

Sunscreen

Posted By: admin on July 9, 2011 in Beauty Care Tips, Personal care, Skin Care - Comments: Comments Off on Sunscreen

SunscreenIt started when tan became a fashion accessory. For years, we all roasted ourselves in the belief that a tan not only made us more desirable, it also ‘healthy’. Now, of course, we know that tans aren’t healthy and that unprotected exposure to the sun has a direct link with spiraling rate of skin cancer. More than 40,000 people all over the world are diagnosed as having skin cancer every year, a tenth of them suffering from the potentially fatal form, malignant melanoma. If we really wanted to be completely safe in the sun, we would keep out of it as much as possible, covering up with hats, long-sleeved T-shirts and sunglasses. Children should always be covered in the sun, as their skin is the most vulnerable.

But it seems we really can’t kick the sunbathing habit. 57 percent of people in Britain admit that the risk of cancer doesn’t stop them sunbathing. Not nearly enough protection for fair skin unused to strong sunlight. And, worst of all, a study that 40 percent of parent admit to having allowed their under-15s to burn at some time.

So is there a way to tan safely? For all but the very fair skinned, you can tan without burning provided that you take it painstakingly slowly, in short, sensible bursts, using the right sunscreen for your skin. But most of us don’t take it slowly or use the right sunscreen. And some experts feel we’ve a lot more to learn about the effects of overexposure to the sun on our bodies and, even with assiduous use of a good sunscreen, we still might be causing sun damage at a deeper level.

However, according to experts once you have a slight tan you do gain a bit of insurance against burning: a tanned person is two to ten times better protected against the sun’s harmful rays than someone with no tan, because UV rays stimulate the production of melanin, which gives skin a protective brown color and thickens it.

What is a sunscreen?

Sunscreen contains chemicals that either reflect the sun’s harmful rays off the skin or absorb them. All protect against UVB, the band of electromagnetic radiation that causes redness, burning and, after pronged exposure, blistering and even second-degree burns. Many products now also screen out UVA. Previously considered harmless, these are the longest rays, which penetrate deep into the skin; they do not burn it but are responsible for reducing its elasticity. Unlike UVB rays, which are at their most intense at midday in the height of summer, UVA rays are constant all year round.

In order to protect your skin the way it has to, all reputable brands are now a complex cocktail of chemicals: standard sunscreen contain UVA/B filters and reflectors, oil, water, emulsifiers to prevent them from separating, emollients to make them feel smooth on the skin, film formers to help them form a protective layer on the skin, stabilizers to stop them deteriorating, preservatives to prevent the growth of bacteria, and fragrance. Whether it’s a lotion, cream, oil or stick, a sunscreen will be a ‘chemical’ or a ‘physical’ formula.

Chemical sunscreens absorb specific bands of UV rays. Most are known as ‘Broad spectrum’ as they contain a blend of chemicals, one to absorb UVB, and the other to reflect UVA rays.

Physical sunscreens merely contain one ingredient that forms a physical barrier on the skin to reflect both UVB and A rays.

Physical sunscreens are more effective than chemical because they literally block out ultraviolet, with the added bonus that they’re unlikely to react with your skin. Chemical formulas have the advantage that they’re absorbed into the skin and so less likely to rub off, but the disadvantage is that they’re more likely to irritate your skin and you may not like the thought of something so chemical being absorbed.

If you can find a suitable sunscreen that contains vitamin E, this vitamin is both an excellent moisturizer and antioxidant. This means it attacks ‘free radicals’, a group of reactive chemical particles that are set in motion by the sun. It rays trigger them into hijacking oxygen molecules from other compound in the skin, which damage the skin’s cellular structure and gradually lead to ageing and, research shows, cancer.

Don’t be fooled by sunscreen that say or imply that they are ‘natural’: all it means is that they’re physical formulas rather than chemical, or they contain plant, fruit or vegetable extracts, individual ingredients have a good track record, however aloe Vera, for example, for soothing and repairing damaged skin, and ginkgo for good anti free radical properties like vitamin E.

There is less evidence to suggest that marine extracts and fruits offer more than a pleasant base for the chemical active ingredients. But at least you know plant or fruit-based products to gain their SPF rating they must have been tested by one of the two official test systems.

If you have delicate skin, you could try a product designed specifically for sensitive skin. These are free of irritants like preservatives emulsifiers and colorants, but they could still contain fragrance and a high level of UVA filter which can trigger allergies, so read labels carefully. Those labeled ‘hypoallergenic’ have been developed to minimize the risk of allergic reactions, and those called ‘dermatologically tested’ have been repeatedly tested to ensure they cause no allergic reaction or skin irritation under normal circumstances.

Wrinkles Make You Miserable

Wrinkles Make You Miserable

As the time passes away, a number of changes appear on your face.  We didn’t take entirely this phenomenon as age factor; it may be somewhat your negligence. Particularly, if you are not giving time to moisturizing, applying creams to avoid wrinkles and unwanted spots, a major harm can come to your skin, specially when wrinkles come to your face at various spots such as under your eyes, at the edge of you eyes, at the edge of your lips and on your neck, you become miserable. Here are some other causes which may spoil your face, such as overuse of facial muscles.

Remember, not all wrinkles are created equal. Some-like the sag lines caused when gravity pulls your brows or jowls down-can’t really be prevented. But other wrinkles are not so inevitable. By changing a few bad habits, you may be able to forestall some major furrows.

One of the most common types of wrinkles on your face is expression lines-such as frown lines between the brows-caused by continual overuse of the same facial muscles. Most women aren’t aware when, or how much, they’re using those facial muscles.

The constant use of other muscles in your body would tone the area, but not so much on your face. Expression lines deepen when you use facial muscles, because the muscles of your face attach to your skin, while every other place in the body, muscles attach to the bone so, whenever you’re frowning or smiling, you’re also pulling at your skin. That pulls and bunches up the skin and eventually leads to furrows.

Everyday facial tension is a prime factor in the creation of expression lines. Most of us don’t realize when we raise our brows when our face is tensed. So we rarely think to consciously relax our facial muscles. And it doesn’t take a particularly stressful incident to make us tighten up those facial muscles in the first place. Simple eyestrain, talking, being outside with sunglasses that provide inadequate protection, or just concentrating can cause us to frown or squint without realizing it.

What can you do to prevent or help ease expression lines? First, you have to learn to be conscious of the muscle tone in your face; one way to do this is to keep a mirror by the telephone. While you’re talking, watch the faces you make and you’ll learn how these faces feel ‘on the inside’ when you make them.

Relaxation exercises can help ease the strain on your facial muscles, once you know how the muscles of your face feel when they’re tensed, you can teach yourself to systematically relax them so that they feel heavy and warm. Concentrate on keeping your muscles relaxed for five minutes.

What about facial exercises? Because the muscles of your face attach to skin, most facial exercises are not worthwhile. What facial exercises do is basically re-create the same pulls that you’re trying to undo.

A facial massage would be a better idea. Massages are fine if they’re gentle. They feel good and can help you to relax, which is great. But massage won’t undo lines that have already formed.

What massage, like relaxation techniques, can help you do is to prevent lines if you don’t already have them. And perhaps ease some of the existing expression lines so they’re less noticeable. Nothing short of cosmetic surgery can actually undo deep lines.

Here are three quick tips on wrinkle control:

*Sleep on your back. Pillows or the mattress can cause creases on your face as well as a general tugging on your skin.

*Use a moisturizer. It won’t remove wrinkles. But because dry skin looks more lined, a moisturizer can make lines appear less noticeable.

*Wear sunscreen daily. If you go outdoors at all, wearing a sunscreen helps you avoid leathery skin and creepy wrinkles caused by photo-aging.

Getting Older,Looking Better

Posted By: admin on June 19, 2011 in Personal care, Tips For Older Peoples - Comments: Comments Off on Getting Older,Looking Better

Control your weight

In other words, digest what sliming say and act on it. Yes, it may mean upheaval, hard work, perseverance. But that’s what make-over “magic” is made of!

Stop smoking

It’s about the single most important thing you can do to help your long-term health, not to mention long-term looks. A smoker, remember, wrinkles of on express rate.

Do light exercised

You don’t need to “do exercise” (unless you enjoy them). But you must build in physical activity to every day via walking, stair-climbing, swimming, dancing etc. Remember mental exercise, too: plan time for stimulating hobbies, interests, fun.

Control your sight

Is eye strain leading to permanent puckering? See about glasses, contact lenses, better reading lights, sun specs, anti-flare visors, everything to stop your flinching, squinting, frowning.

Sit straight, move lightly

Even when you feel a bit heavy, droopy or down in the dumps, consciously stand, sit and move on an “effortless” way. Lots of groaning up from armchairs and slumping onto sofas is “poor me” habit rather than pain. Positive play acting can soon turn into the truth.

Mini mannerisms

Is there a video camera owner in your family? Arrange for some candid footage. It may spotlight the sort of unconscious habit also up for instructive inspection: your off-guard expression, posture, fidgets.

Expert can teach you

If you are unsure about colors, makeup expertise, etc, ask a sympathetic salon for a lesson. It is an investment that can soon pay for itself in saved mistakes at cosmetic counters.

You are never too old to learn

Stay open to new ideas, inventions, viewpoints. Something may be just around the corner with an answer you’ve been seeking.

Don’t let the cap fit

At any age over 30 avoid “bathing caps”: any hard edged turban, scarf, pill-box hat, etc, that leaves you hairless. There’s nothing more youthful, you see, than healthy hair that has bounce and movement understand, elegant look: definite lipstick and a trace of pearly highlighter under brow bones for a little lift. With some neck on show now, she looks altogether sprightlier.

A  healthy glow helps!

It is not from a jar: the aura that makes look so good is the freshness of fitness all those work-outs work, the over-emphasized eyes with heavy black liner. It is all hard, thick and heavy. The touch with foundation and mascara; “correct” lower lip discreetly with clear color. And those great fringe and crown highlights give hair a youthful lift, clever stuff. But the glow and smile help most.

The bright smile attracts

You could be attractive despite high-piled curls making round cheeks loom larger. She is gorgeous now through. Hair has been lightened and feathered into wide wings above the ears, any cheeky chubbiness vanishes! More natural eye shadow adds warmth not excess drama. And that bright smile says it all!

Simple, strong stunning!

Not very woman could wear her silvery blonde long bob (it is a style that’s spiteful to a soggy chin), but she artfully heightens its interest, and then tones her brow and makeup to echo its delicate color. Everything is strikingly unfussy, yet not hard.

Fashion Reflects From The Catwalk

Posted By: admin on June 11, 2011 in Fashion & Style, Fashion Trends - Comments: Comments Off on Fashion Reflects From The Catwalk

Fashion Reflects From The Catwalk

Give your wardrobe a short, sharp shock this season with the sexiest micro-minies and drop- dead heals. If you are tired of black, think pink- raspberry, fuchsia and damson are the fruitiest shades- or if your are prefer the rugged look, go for leather, with a bit of lace thrown in for good major. Trousers are big this autumn- in more ways than one. Wide-leg and flared, then cry out for slinky heels.

Nobody become glad to see a square-shouldered, nip-waisted, bright-purple leather jacket again. It wasn’t that particular jacket, or the tight skirt that went with it, but the fact that there on the catwalk were clothes cut close to the body in strong fabrics that held their shape. And it wasn’t just single catwalk, but at every major show in the autumn/winter catwalk calendar. There they were, one after other sharply defined jackets, fitted trousers and form hugging skirts in all shapes and fabrics, every one of them epitome of that word that makes all difference in fashion, “Tailored”. If you had a wonderful summer flopping about in sheer chiffon with matching knickers, you won’t be experiencing the same sense of relief at this news as those of us who were never out of white trousers and the occasional long skirt. Tailoring is the greatest ally of every woman who is over twenty more than a size ten and a job. The right cut can give you a silhouette you didn’t know, you had, and take years off your appearance, not least because it gives confidence. The little sill slip works in just the opposite way dead gorgeous to even contemplate putting on.

And this the real reason to celebrate-after the pretty-young- thing parade of recent seasons, this winter’s clothes are built  for grown-ups who want to look sexy and strong with it. Those of us who depend on tailoring have had no trouble keeping ourselves in suits throughout the frills and thrift-shop years.

During these trends boutiques were still full of customers who demanded beautiful jackets and classic trousers, tailoring is not a new trend or a revolution. It is a priority for the clothes created. Now, all the designers have got the tailoring bug, but needless to say, fashion hasn’t swung in our favor for practical reasons.

The message for winter is: get a suit and the new look is yours. But what should that suit look overestimate. Yes they are there, loud and clear: the rock-hard, sculpted design. But that doesn’t mean you can just dip into your old trunk. Shoulders are strong, but not sofa sized; waists are waisted but not hourglass; leather is Black but it’s finer, with the flexibility of suede.

Everything is going in a much more deluxe direction, with beautiful fabrics and very refined tailoring. The secret is in the details, and throughout subtle variations in the tailoring something classically masculine becomes feminine – the way that a modern woman wants to look.

The suits for autumn are broad shouldered with knuckle-grazing cuffs and wide trousers with turn-ups. Or it can be glamorously mannish as in grey wool double-breasted wide shouldered suit with baggy, low- slung trousers. The new suits- a long, slouchy jacket and baggy trousers in flecked brown tweed – and its most refined, narrow, dark and elegant. The best of the trousers are wide in the leg or straight.

Gabardine trousers and fly-fronted charcoal wool pants are classics of the genre. Both are loose fitting, sit down on the hips and could just about belong to your very sharp –dressing boyfriend.

Jackets are lean cut and slightly padded in the shoulder. But the key with both trousers and jackets is how you wear them. On the catwalks, the designers showed trousers  and tailored pencil skirts with the softest and sexiest tops: silk- knit,  short sleeved, almost see through cashmere tops,  cotton tank tops draped with tulle, and trousers finished off with satin belts or cummerbunds. This combined with high, high heels, gibe tailoring a whole new feel not just feminine, but fresh and contemporary.

Alternatively, the overtly feminine take on tailoring ranges from the jacket over a chiffon skirt and top, to a tailored wool pencil skirt and cashmere top, or a mini worn with a long, shoulder –padded jacket. The effect is sexy, smart and wearable.  But don’t forget, everything hinges on those rocket – launcher heels.

Looking Through The Sunglasses

Posted By: admin on May 9, 2011 in Fashion & Style, Fashion Accessosories - Comments: Comments Off on Looking Through The Sunglasses

Looking Through The Sunglasses

How romantic it is to look the world around you through the colorful sunglasses. Some of today’s most fashionable frames of sunglasses are more closely associated with people than manufacturers. Historians believe the first sunglasses were move like goggles, fashioned from caved bands of wood fitted with horizontal slits at level-sort of Venetian Blinds for the eyes. The small openings forced the wearers, thus reducing the chance of eye damage.

Today’s sunglasses are a quantum leap from what the Eskimos wore. At first, tinted glasses were simply a mean to cut down glare and squinting. As technology advanced, it was learned that different colored lenses could improve depth perception and vision. As we’ve those sunglasses are also essential protection against eye damage and disease. Sunlight may contribute to cornea damage and development of a yellowish bump on the white of the eye. Sunlight can also burn the eyeball, just as it burns the skin, and often severe damage to the retina. Unprotected eyes are also more likely to develop cancer in the eye area, and may be more prone to crow’s feet and wrinkles.

The ultra violate rays coming from the sun give an unavoidable damage to your sight, so it is necessary to have a sunglass on your eyes. It also protects your eyes from the external dust particles, floating in the atmosphere. The glasses add beauty to your face, because the dark glasses make a contrast with your white and fair skin. If you have a program to buy a new pair for you, here are some tips about it:

Before you buy a new pair of shades, make a few simple checks to assure yourself of a quality product that will acquire your needs.

1. Put on the glasses in question and look in a mirror. If you can just make out your eyes, then you’ve got a pair of medium-density lenses. Medium-density lenses let in about 21 percent of the visible spectrum making them perfect for driving or daily outdoor activity.

2. While you’re still wearing the glasses look at the edge of a doorway where there’s straight vertical line and swing your head back and forth. If the line wiggles, there’s probably an optical defect in the lenses and you should exchange them for a different pair. Lens irregularities can cause eye fatigue.

3. Head to the front of the store and see if there’s a traffic light in view through the windows. Put on the glasses and make sure you can easily recognize the red, yellow and green signals. Gray and brown lenses provide the true color portrayal, while bright yellow and orange lenses may your color perception.

4. While you’re still got those glasses on, lean over until your face is parallel to the floor. Are the glasses sliding down your nose? If so, it’s a loose fit, and you can expect a lot of shifting and annoying friction. But if they stay right where they were put, you can expect them to remain comfortable during extended periods of use. So think over it for a long and then make a choice.

5. Find out how much ultraviolet radiation the glasses block. There’s been some concern over the possible connection between cumulative exposure to UV and the development of cataracts. While conclusive evidence is still pending you may want to play it safe by acquiring a pair of sunglasses that block a large amount of UV rays. If the necessary information isn’t included on the product tag, ask the salesman or make a contact with the manufacturing company.

Belt Up Beautifully

When you dress up yourself, you need something else to tighten yourself that is a belt. The belt not only tight yourself, but hold your dress and give an elegant look. While making a choice for a belt keep in mind the following tips:

*It’s not better when a contrast belt cuts a body in two and also makes people notice how much bulk is inside. So it’s never a good accessory in full view on a short shape or a broad beam: both are far better served by a quiet self-belt or a waist-skimming style. You can put on a soft jersey beautifully with a belt but not a tailored jacket in a firm fabric. And never belt over coat or jacket buttons.

* It is true that many model girls who look underweight still don’t go in much at the middle. A deeply indented waist is a body quirk as green eyes or marvelously sculptured ankles. But if wise dieting and exercise have revealed an ugly waist as your quality, show how to make the most of it no contrast-color belt, just a well-defined bodice taken quite low over a flowing evening skirt. But one huge artificial diamond brooch on back-fastening belt delivers the message at the middle. Once you’ve achieved it, show it!

* The bigger you belt, the lower your breast will look. So a broad-belted dress with a high round neck overcomes this unkindness. Worn with an open-necked shirt top, a deep belt could suit a slim figure with a high bust and no ribs coming out, but it will be wrong on the rest of us. Buy a belt that makes you look elegantly long from the waist up, not the opposite.

* Remember the dangly bit don’t work. There is a kind of fashion curse that always makes the bobbles on hip-length coat with a hood; lower drawstrings dangle untidily particularly unfortunate places. It affects waist, tie-belts and hanging threads on more formal outfits, too: if they can slip, slide, dangle, they will. Never buy complicated belts that will be odd looking.

* If you want to wear a bold belt but, aren’t quite sure that your waist can stand such emphasis, fasten it under a casually open jacket. Then your belt is on display yet, because nobody has an all-round view of it, the precise degree of indentation stays your secret. It’s an artful way for a heavier figure to indicate a neat waistline without the obligation to prove it!
